a tale of a horrible blogger

I love his face in this picture. About to have a melt down.
Once upon a time there was a mommy who set her heart on documenting the little triumphs and bumps on the road from married to prego to mommyhood. She disappeared for what seemed like am eternity only to come back to her blog to find her baby so little. Ashamed and wanting to make thing right she quickly posted a few pictures and wrote a cheesy story as a hopeful and apologetic mend to get things back on the road.
So after too many months out to lunch let me present my growing boy Elliott who is now 7 months old. He loves standing, dancing to music. (he shakes his head) loves his crinkle books and having baby jabber conversations with you. He's eating solids and does he love to eat especially carrots. Still HATES being on his belly and is more amazing and lovable each and every day. He sleeps pretty well at night only waking up once to eat and I think we got this nap thing in control. At least for now.
These months have been the hardest and most amazing months of my life. Elliott is such a blessing from the Lord and I can't even remember what life was like before him. (i think more sleep but not as fun) I hope I can commit to really documenting this awesome journey with this little guy.

Fall in the summer and Summer in the fall????

So the weather around here has been pretty strange we were teased with cool weather last week. (the last week of summer) but summer wasn't over without a fight and the heat has come back. (I really shouldn't complain we have had a pretty mild summer over all.) Which means that we stayed indoors in a cool place all day seeing as I am really horrible at functioning in the heat.
Today called for an indoor picnic.

Checking out his guest at the picnic...Quickest way to make Elliott upset... too long on his tummy. Does anyone else have that problem? I know tummy time is good for them.

Hurry!!! Quick distraction before total meltdown.... teddy will do the trick.Disaster averted.

As you can see it was the most exclusive of picnics with only a few guest invited. Just his teddy bear and Sophie the Giraffe. Mami and Papi were invited too but we were not at all photo ready. It ended up being a great day while trying to beat the heat

Can you imagine waking up to this every morning? I am truly so blessed to have such an easy going happy baby... at least most of the time. He really is a morning person so far.
