A day in the country

We went to visit husbands uncle today. It's about 40 miles out of Portland and it was just so amazing to see how quickly the scenery can change out here. I use to commute 40 miles to work back in California and the only thing that use to change were the exit names to the freeway but everything else remained virtually the same but here 40 miles is a whole different world. Filled with endless daffodils fields, cows, sheep, tractor crossing and these amazing farm houses that looked like illustrations in children's books. I loved it!!! I never have really seen a place like this before. It was so pretty. I really can see how people can like living out in the country so much.
On another completely different subject I stumbled upon this site today and I fell in love with the dorkiness of it and how addicting it could become.
The tagging effect is my favorite. I want to get a good picture of husband and I and make Christmas cards with it. This picture of my friend Lenny and I looks great like this. HAHA
And this one of my nephew... adorable. :D

Exhausted!!!

I've been working for seven days straight and it's finally catching with me. I'm exhausted!!!! I just wanted to stop by and say hello I'll show this blog more love next week. After a proper day off. Back to work...

First Day of Spring... YAY!!!!

Spring is in the air, and I am loving it!!! Being from Southern California I never experienced this whole season change thing, but now I totally feel it. The tiny bit of glee that everyone is feeling as the days and night seem to get warmer. The floral aroma lingering in the air. The sweet flowers that seem to slowly be peaking their little heads out everywhere. Even the random crazy showers today didn't seem to bother me. I am just so excited to experience spring showers because I will soon see the lovely benefits of it. I think I'm going to love spring in Portland.

New obsession polyvore. I can't seem to stop making springy outfits on it. This one was my favorite!!!

Peace Treaty via Paper Plane

Last night husband and I got in a little tiff. Nothing serious it was silly really but neither of us wanted to talk first. Husband finally flew this lovely little airplane to me with an apology. I responded back the same way. we laughed about and made up. OOOH I love happy endings especially when they are sent on yellow airplanes

Continuing with the theme this was the the plane sent to me last week while I was watching t.v. I love you husband.

Happy St. Patrick's day!!!!! I hope everyone is festive wearing green, as for husband and I we felt that corn beef and cabbage was appropriate for dinner tonight. :)

The Best Weeknd

Ahhh I much needed 3 day weekend. I am so happy to regroup and get to catch up with the fun stuff.
Friday- deep cleaned everything. The most refreshing thing. I just feel so at peace with a clean house. Then I made dinner for some great friends
Saturday- A lazy day at home with husband, walked to the tiny ice cream shop
Sunday- phone call catch up with all my friends and family, church and travel documentaries.
I know this doesn't sound like much but these are the little things that really refresh me and make me happy. Well gotta go husband and I got Rosetta Stone for Chinese we are prepping for a new adventure we are planing, more about that as it unfolds.

Ebay shop..... finally

So i finally did it posted my first ebay item. I know that it is such a small insignificant step for so many but for some reason it was so hard for me to get up the nerves to. (silly I know). This is the first of many things that I plan on posting. i just want to get a feel for it first. This coat is such a great find and I really hope it finds a good home. Hope you like it.

I'm off to help husband cook dinner.

Happy Birthday Kiddo

Happy Birthday to the best nephew a girl can ever have. He's smart, funny, adorable, and know the lyrics to Sheena is a Punk Rocker by the Ramones. :)
This picture was taken on his first day of preschool. Doesn't he look soooo cool. Although he is a big kid now in kindergarten and turning 6 this is still one of my favorite pictures.

Picnic at the park

Husband and I had a fun afternoon. I little picnic in Washington Park and then as we were driving down we realized that the playground was empty. We just couldn't help ourselves.!!!

Maybe the pictures are a little blurry but hey... you try holding a camera straight when you are playing. I have to admit some parents caught me going down the slide as they were walking their little girl towards it. we left quickly after that :) It was so much fun.
