Wolf's Birthday Morning.

My sweet little Wolf is officially two. We were lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents here for most of the celebration. The morning was spent surprising him with his birthday decorations all set up and breakfast at the best tiny breakfast restaurants I've even been to. And just so you know they specialize in breakfast they have a giant rooster as their sign. ( oh, Idaho you are the most country place I have ever been to.)
After that we went home, played in the backyard, and got ready for the actual party. I can't wait to share pictures.

**note we already have Halloween costumes ready. Wolf insisted on wearing the top half.. any guesses what he's going to be.

one.month.old

I can't believe it's been a month already. I know that it feels especially fast because half of that time was spent in the hospital but my goodness I still can't believe I should still technically be pregnant.

I am enjoying  this babymoon where all I want to do is snuggle and kiss this little guy. Though the reality of having a newborn who wakes up all through the night and still having to be a functioning human being during the day is starting to sink in. It only took Wolf eighteen months to sleep through the night. HA! But honestly I am trying to take all this time in because it really is so fleeting.

He's gained two pounds since birth and for a preemie that is really amazing especially since we were fortunate enough to get the hang of the whole breastfeeding thing without having to supplement. GO US!!!!
He's a great sport with his older brothers who may not be the most gentle when they go for a kiss or a hug, but it is so sweet to see them "try" to be so gentle and loving.

In a few weeks my MIL will be gone and I am going to be doing this gig on my own when husband is at work. The overconfident side of me wants to say that I am totally ready for this, but secretly I am kind of in a panic. I would venture to say I am in for a challenge. A fun one non the less but intimidating just the same.

Bear: Has completely gotten into the habit of sneaking into our bedroom with his blanket and pillow in the middle of the night. I can't complain about waking up to the extra snuggles.
Wolf: His love for animals is so adorable. Looks like there is a animal birthday party is someones near future.
Hawk: One month old already. Time feels like it's flying.

just before

This picture was taken the day I started getting contractions. I thought it was just a Braxton Hicks false alarm and it took a few days more to realize that Hawk was 1. a boy and 2. coming early.  I remember taking these pictures and feeling a sense of calm. Having so quickly fallen into a comfortable routine that we were all enjoying.
It's funny how quickly those days are forgotten. It seems like Hawk has always been here. He just fits right in.  The sleep deprivation is another story but he himself was welcomed completely open arms by every member of this family. And I cannot be happier and more proud of my boys for being so sweet to him. Kisses, snuggles and even wanting to share their toys with him. It makes this heart of mine burst to see all that sweetness.
We are far from getting into a groove. And if it wasn't for my MIL we might not have any sort of clean clothes to wear. (thank you bubbie) There will still be some growing pains and readjusting to get use to but I am  thankful to say that our hearts are all full of love.

Bear: This boys imagination blows me away sometimes. All you need to add is a little dirt and maybe a car and that's enough
Wolf: "no" is  the first word out of his mouth lately. It doesn't matter if you are offering a cookie or telling him he needs his diaper changed. Oh boy!
Hawk: week 3. He's home, and settled and is loving mama milk and a lot of cuddles. We are all taking advantage of it.
