lots of field trips

As I mom of two pretty young boys I often have very little motivation to leave the house. But ironically that is the only thing that seems to be working for us to keep the day running smoothly. B seems to be getting a bit stir crazy at home and which honestly frazzles me A LOT. So yesterday when B woke up on a the wrong side of the bed my lovely husband was kind enough to recommend I keep the car and "go somewhere instead of going insane" HA! Well he was right and the day went smoothly. The boys had fun and I felt motivated enough to clean and cook as soon as we got home and the boys went down for a nap.
Sometimes it's good to be spontaneous ( I am trying to be more so). So until teething and emotions level out a bit. My days will be a little more lax and hopefully a lot more fun for all of us.

Summer time

Despite the very low tolerance to heat especially at 28 weeks pregnant. I am really trying to enjoy the summer and really soak up at much time with this little guys as I can before my time will be divided with the new baby. I was struggling with the idea of having to say Elliott was the "big brother and the big boy" now that there is a new brother on the way especially because he will only be 15 months old when the baby is born. But I read Rubyellen's post on calling her youngest baby and the newborn baby baby and I thought that was perfect! It really brought me a lot of peace to not have him grow up so fast.

Back to the summer. We have been enjoying going to the park where we discovered that Bear loves the swing and going down the slide. He is enjoying eating dinner outside and pointing to the birds flying by. And is really loving going for walks before breakfast.

Like I said at the beginning I really dislike heat but it has been so much fun being able to see this baby Bear explore more of his world and really loving it! Here's to some "pleasantly warm" (positive thinking) summer days.

Picnic at the park

Husband and I had a fun afternoon. I little picnic in Washington Park and then as we were driving down we realized that the playground was empty. We just couldn't help ourselves.!!!

Here he is showing his Ninja skills!!!
Maybe we went on the slide.....
Maybe the pictures are a little blurry but hey... you try holding a camera straight when you are playing. I have to admit some parents caught me going down the slide as they were walking their little girl towards it. we left quickly after that :) It was so much fun.
